Warnings and safety information
Dust and eye protection
Sanding creates dust. Work with dust extraction; otherwise wear respiratory protection (at least FFP2) and safety glasses. Dust from wood, metal, paint and plastics can be harmful to health; old paints dating from before the 1990s may contain lead.
Fit and speed
Only fit hook-and-loop abrasives centrally on an undamaged backing pad of the same size and line up the holes. Do not exceed the maximum permitted speed of the machine.
Damaged abrasives
Do not use torn, creased or chipped abrasives – they can come loose while running. Check the hook-and-loop surface of the backing pad regularly as well.
Sparks and heat
Sanding metal produces sparks and hot debris. Do not sand near solvents, paint residues or other flammable materials, and do not leave the contents of the dust bag standing open.
Wet or dry
Only sand wet where the technical data state “Use: wet” or “wet and dry”. Mains-powered machines are not approved for wet sanding unless their manufacturer expressly permits it.
