FAQs about P320
What is P320 sandpaper used for?
Fine sanding: Fine surfaces, sanding primer surfacer, final corrections. Typical for Car & paint, Wood, Metal, Plastic, Primer.
Is P320 coarse or fine?
P320 belongs to the fine range (P220 to P400): smoothing and preparing. The higher the number, the finer the grit.
Which grit comes after P320?
After P320 comes P400. Never more than double the number per step – that way the finer grit removes the scratches of the coarser one.
Should P320 be used wet or dry?
Dry, with dust extraction – up to about P600 that is the standard today: faster, and no water in the metal or wood. Mesh discs and multi-hole patterns stop P320 from clogging.
Which grit comes before P320?
Before P320, sand with P240 (or finer). Jump straight to P320 from too coarse a grit and you won't get the scratches out.
